About the project
Here we have a reimagining of the Vespa logo, designed for a branding & identity class in college. The primary structure of the logo is the “V”, whose structure has been altered to appear more reminiscent of the classic shape of a Vespa. The additional lines represent the body and wheel of the machine as much as they suggest speed and forward momentum.
The classic, original Vespa logo relies on a wordmark that tells you what the brand is. I wanted to reimagine the logo, and tell a viewer as much as possible without using any words.
The result is playful and dynamic–much like Vespa’s brand!
